A wonderful evening: Just42 raises over £15,500 at our fundraising dinner!

We are absolutely delighted to share that our annual fundraising dinner on November 15th raised over £15,500 for Just42’s work with local children and young people. It was a fantastic evening filled with generosity, amazing food and inspiring stories of the impact Just42 has on the lives of children and young people, we are so grateful to everyone who made it possible.

A heartfelt thank you to our supporters

To everyone who attended the dinner, sponsored a table, or donated incredible gifts for our silent auction: thank you. Your kindness and support made the evening such a success.

Behind the scenes: Our incredible team

Ali, Susanna, Eunice

Events like this take an enormous amount of preparation, and we are indebted to our amazing kitchen team for producing an outstanding four-course meal. A special thank you must go to Eunice and Ali, whose hard work and dedication were vital in bringing the evening together.

We are very grateful to the wonderful team of volunteers who generously gave up their evening to help run the event and once again, Susanna deserves special recognition for coordinating the team of waiters with her usual calm efficiency and care.

The young people at the heart of what we do

The team who made it possible

One of the true highlights of the evening was seeing our young people in action, many of whom helped serve food throughout the night. We were especially moved by the two young people who shared personal testimonies about how Just42 has supported and encouraged them. Their words were a powerful reminder of why this event matters so much.

Guiding the evening

Rev Charles Trefusis and Caroline Rutherford

We were thrilled to have one of our trustees, Rev. Charles Trefusis, and our Charity Manager, Caroline Rutherford, compere the evening. Their warmth helped bring everything together beautifully.

Supporting Just42

It was wonderful to hear guests asking how they can continue supporting Just42 beyond the fundraising dinner. If you feel able, there are four key ways you can help sustain our work with children and young people: Donating, membership, volunteering, and prayer.

1. Donating

Regular giving or one-off donations make a significant difference to the work we are able to do. If you would like to support us financially, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Please email info@just42.org.uk for more information.

2. Membership

By becoming a member of Just42, you can play an active role in shaping the future of the charity. Learn more and sign up here: https://www.just42.org.uk/membership

3. Volunteering

We are always looking for volunteers to help run our children’s and youth work, or become a mentor to young people. If you have a heart for supporting young people, volunteering with us could be a great fit. Find out more here: https://www.just42.org.uk/volunteer

4. Prayer

As a Christian organisation, prayer is at the heart of everything we do. We would deeply value your prayers for the charity and for the children and young people we support. We also hold three annual prayer meetings each year, and we would love for you to join us.
More information is available here: https://www.just42.org.uk/prayer

Thank you and see you next year!

To everyone involved, whether behind the scenes or out in the room celebrating with us, thank you for making this year’s fundraising dinner such a memorable and meaningful occasion. We truly hope you enjoyed the evening as much as we did, we can’t wait to welcome you back next year!
