Youth Clubs

We work with young people from 12 – 18 years of age. Just42 aims to make a real difference in young people’s lives, particularly those most dis-advantaged or excluded because of age, gender, geography, disability/health issues, prejudice or behaviour. We want to raise their aspirations and build their self-esteem.

Our work is delivered by 2 full time Qualified Youth Work Managers who are assisted by session workers and many volunteers.

Our youth work is presently divided into 4 main disciplines:

Youth Clubs

We currently organise or run youth clubs on a weekly basis in term time in the town of Woodbridge and the surrounding villages of Hasketon, Bredfield, Grundisburgh and Wickham Market.

Holiday Activities

In holiday periods or at week-ends we organise projects and activities many of which are of a residential nature and cater for those who attend our regular clubs and others who may have seen any relevant publicity. They include sports such as sailing and football, BMXing, blading and boarding, Wheeling and fun sports plus recreational activities such as building a replica Iron Age House or going on an ‘African Adventure.’

Schools Work

In term time, we also work in local schools with disaffected students, those at risk of exclusion or with social/personal issues. We also arrange Baby-sitting courses which include the use of ‘virtual babies’.

Projects

In addition to these activities we engage young people in a variety of arts and music projects which we help create and manage in the hope that they will derive benefit, learn new skills and improve upon opportunities for social-interaction.
