What is OTS?

At OTS (Off The Street) we try to create a drop in style session lasting a couple of hours each week in school term time. Each week we offer a variety of informal activities and programmes. Our open door policy means any young person should feel wanted, safe and respected. We do have a code of conduct we expect all young people attending to respect. With such a wide age range it is a job to plan specific activities, however our lovely session workers do their best to look after everyone and make it fun.  We have a well stocked tuck shop and of course 'TOAST!!!'

                                                 IMPORTANT

As we are near the Kingston Fields some choose to come in and out during a session, we don't have a strict lock in policy that is why we call ourselves a 'drop in session'. Please tell us if you do not want your child to leave the premises and we do our best to work with parents and carers. We are particularly attractive to those living in the Kyson School area. We like to think we are part of the local community and we work closely with the Police Neighbourhood Support Team .

                                                           OTS - Stop Press

Please keep away if you think it is ok to fight, swear, smoke near the building, spit and abuse the staff or other people or damage the property. Put simply we do not have time or energy to work with you as well as the users who just want to enjoy themselves. Please DO NOT to hang around the perimeter fence surrounding the Youth Centre as it you are still too close.

We are willing to talk to you about any issues, provided you make an appointment to see us at another time.

Our priority is to provide a safe place for all young people who choose to attend. It is not that we 'hate some and love others' or anything to do with 'not liking' someone; it is about caring for all the young people who want to enjoy a couple of hours in their own space.

Please enjoy your summer and keep safe - New term starts Monday 6th September 2010
