Just42 ‘Rural Ramble'
Added 8th April 2009
The Christian Youthwork agency, Just42 who are based at the Woodbridge Youth Centre near Kingston Field are planning a walk to promote their work in rural areas on Saturday April 25 th 2009.
Just42 run Kidz Klubs (4 -11 year olds) and/or senior youth clubs (11 -18 year olds) in Grundisburgh, Hasketon, Bredfield and Woodbridge and are challenging families from those communities to walk from village to village along a designated mainly footpath route, passing through some of the prettiest countryside in East Suffolk, including a stretch along the bank of the River Deben.
It starts at Grundisburgh at 10.30am and it is hoped that families will take the opportunity to walk one or more of three 3 mile sections, making a full day's walking of about 9 miles for anybody brave enough to do it all.
Just42's Caroline Rutherford says “ there will be refreshments along the way and we will even transport people back from the finish at our offices in Woodbridge to the starting point at Grundisburgh, to collect their cars”
“We are trying to raise funds for our work in these communities and we will ask those taking part to try and find sponsors for each mile they walk, but that is not a pre-requisite for anyone to participate. We do have on-line sponsorship facilities though to make it a lot easier! ”
Entry forms are available on request. For giving on line go to www.justgiving.com/Just42.
